Cashiers Designer Showhouse
The outdoor room
(screened porch) was designed and coordinated by Jim & Pat
Grady of Midnight Farms and Ron Smith of Interior Furnishings at
Midnight Farms.
We felt the outdoor
room, dominated by a large stacked stone fireplace, deserved a
rustic elegant style to coordinate with the design of the home.
The fireplace
mantle, designed by Jim Grady was a single log of red and white
cedar supported by cedar flares from the Adirondacks. Jim
also designed and built several custom pieces used in the room
which included: a 5' oval two tiered foyer table, a custom
bar and cabinet, a hexagon end table, and a custom cornice.
Draperies designed
by Ron Smith were done in a Sunbrella print fabric with
coordinating valances.
Larry Anderson, of
artistic illusions designed a floor cloth used in front of the
custom willow sofa and several pieces of art work, one of which
was a large painting of an elk used over the mantle piece.
